Legal Age

A person under the age of 18 years may not buy or redeem for a prize a NCEL ticket in North Carolina.


All sales are final. Unsupported payment card types are at the discretion of the North Carolina Education Lottery and include, but are not limited to Pre-paid cards, Loyalty cards, Government EBT cards, etc. Payment cards and card accounts are the responsibility of the cardholder and the issuing institution.

Player Participation

By participating, the player agrees to all game rules, policies and procedures set forth by the North Carolina Education Lottery and must adhere to North Carolina state laws.


All winnings of $599 and below will be remitted directly to the player’s account linked to the card used at time of purchase. All winnings of $600 and over will be subject to the North Carolina Education Lottery claims and payment procedures.

The lottery receipt is for information purposes only and has no value. Payment of claims is owed to the valid player's card account debited at time of purchase. In the event that a card is lost or stolen, it is the player's responsibility to follow the Winnings Validation Process as outlined on the How to Claim page.

Responsible Gaming

A play limit of $70 per card per week has been imposed. The player has the ability to exclude his/her cards for Play at the Pump lottery play on the Self Exclusion page.
